There in the
East End
In a part of Leytonstone
In an ancient land called Great Britania
Was founded a band
By bassist Steve Harris
The legend its name was Iron Maiden
At the age
of nineteen, he became the Maiden boss
And he swore to rock all the local venues
With the Soundhouse tape, in 1978
He utterly beat the hype of punk rock
Iron Maiden
the Great
Its name struck awe into hearts of bands
Iron Maiden the Great
Became a legend 'mongst metal fans
Most punk rock
bands defeated left their gigs
The Americans swore to the sound of 666
Then Europe fell to the Maiden boss as well
Japan went wild for Eddie T. Head
By the time
the 90s came, they met resistance again
A nd crushed it again by releasing Brave New World
Shooting up the crowd,
great audience pleasure he found
In Westham shirts, his capital of football
Iron Maiden
the Great
Its name struck awe into hearts of bands
Iron Maiden the Great
Became a God amongst metal fans
A mighty crowd
they could so well entice
And Iron Maiden headlined Donington
And legend said that who could do this thrice
They would become the master of metal
Hedonism he
spread far and wide
With nightmare songs and Piece of Mind
Arry's culture is the best damn way of life
He paved the way by great tenacity
Touring on,
touring on
The concert
audience shouting side by side
Iron Maiden anthems line by line
They wouldn't stop until Run to the Hills
Tired but content, hail that glory!
Iron Maiden
the Great
Its name struck awe into hearts of bands
Iron Maiden the Great
Their songs shall live on forevermore
